Why???

Why do people say,”if it’s meant to be it will happen.”, to someone TTC it’s so insensitive. My husband literally just said that to me.

I understand. I’m not a fan of that saying either but I think your husband is just trying to stay positive and keep you positive in any way he can. I think TTC is different for men and they show their emotions about it differently.

It’s meant to be in good will, and when people said that to me, I smiled and brushed it off. Honestly, trying was so stressful that we ended up inhibiting the process. We didn’t get pregnant until we stopped tracking everything and stopped trying and just went back to having fun with each other.

I hate that saying so much!!! My S/O doesn’t say anything to me now as it’s just easier lol I’ve been referred to a specialist now so people have eventually stopped saying it.

That's annoying and too fatalistic for me. Sometimes you need more information or medical help. Sheesh.
