Unsure, confused, help !!!!

I'm not sure what I need to hear, I just know I'm heartbroken. There's always the typical "leave him, get out, GO" comments but I'm sure everyone's been in love. Leaving is easier said than done.. my ex boyfriend says he has a lot going on rn (grad school, working 12 hour days + on call, work outs) but we can still be "talking" just no boyfriend girlfriend title. He says with a title he is obligated to see me, do bf duties, take me out etc... and he just needs time to focus on himself right now, career, and education. I can't spend the night everyday with him because some nights e just wants to read or have time to think alone. Maybe I'm being selfish but it's so hard not talking to him constantly through out the day... I'm just heartbroken. I guess a title doesn't make anything different, but I want him more than I have him right now. & im scared he will find someone else in this time that we aren't together but he swears up and down he's not looking for anything else. IDK if I should just walk away or stay strong and hope for the best in this situationship????
