How long do the baby supposed to co-sleep?

How long does the baby supposed to co-sleep in the room with parents? I’m asking cause this my second child and with my first her room was in our room until about 9 months when our lease was up to move and now we have a 3 bedroom and the baby has a nursery but he was going to sleep in his bassinet in our room but I’m wondering how long?

The recommendation is 6 Months-1year. I had my daughter in a crib in our room till 11 months, but that was because we didn’t move till then. With this baby I’m thinking until she starts sleeping longer stretches...until then it’s more work than is necessary to lug myself to the nursery every 2 hours. I’m hoping 2-4 Months.

All up to you... my first was in a bassinet next to me for about 2-3 weeks. We all slept better when she started sleeping in her crib in her own room. Will likely end up doing the same with this one. I personally am a firm believer in “if mama’s not happy, nobody’s happy” and I’m a light sleeper so every tiny move from baby and I would pop up to see what’s up. I need my sleep!

It’s up to you, my son was moved to his own room and crib at 7 weeks 🤷🏼‍♀️ it’s what worked for us with dads work schedule and snoring.

we moved our son to his room at 3 months, then he started teething and ended up in bed with me somtimes anyhow  because all the rooms except mine are on the second floor and i was tired of climbing stairs so many times in the middle of the night , that being said he slept so much better in his own bed then with me . This one will probably be with me a littke longer just because i dont want to climb stairs again hahaha

My oldest slept with me even Shen she had her own room. My second didn't like to be touched while sleeping and was in his own room by 6 weeks. 🤷‍♀️

we currently cosleep/bedshare with our two year old and have done so since birth. I wanted to stop sooner but we live in a one bedroom curently so it worked best for us. finally we are moving into a 2 bdr so he will have his own room and we have exactly 2 months to get him used to sleeping on his own before the new baby comes😅
