Where to even start?

So just to preface, I am only ~5 weeks along. This will be my husband's and my first child.
Where on earth do you start? I know we have plenty of time, but I would like to start planning what we will need rather than wait. But I'm lost! Help a new momma out?

I started my baby registry when I was around 6 weeks so this is a great time to start! I registered for a bunch of items to get started, then changed my registry based on my research for specific brands of each item. Most stores have checklists that are helpful starting points, but I also watched a billion YouTube videos for “newborn must haves” to get ideas for items and specific brands. I tried to check off items based on certain categories: feeding, sleeping, diapering, bathing, traveling, playing, etc. There are also quite a few helpful lists on blogs if you google “baby must haves”.

Answer

I started making my baby shower/need to buy list at that point. I liked the site Lucie’s List for reviews at a variety of price points.
