Cereal to bottle?

Does anybody add rice cereal to their baby's bottle at night to help them sleep? Or is this a bad idea?

Nope. It’s a choking hazard and something only older generations do. Your baby will sleep through the night when they’re ready. You don’t need to over fill their stomach to make it happen.

It’s a terrible and dangerous idea. It has also been proven to be a myth and some doctors will say it has been liked to SIDS as well. 
If baby is waking, baby needs something.

If you have a hard time getting a good night’s sleep I can recommend the book “The happy sleeper”. It was recommended to me and it’s working for us. At 4 months old you can expect a healthy, normal weight, term baby to sleep 6 h. Before that, try to give a good feed of milk or formula but don’t expect to sleep more than 4h max. 2h up to 2 months old probably. My pediatrician asked us to wake LO up after 4h until he was 3 months old because supposedly they cannot store glucose longer than that. 
I just used the instructions from the book last night on my 4 month 8 day old baby. He had 4 month sleep regression and all the signs described in the chapter for 5 month olds (he is big, over 16 lb). Instead of waking his usual 3 times he woke once. I hope it stays that way. Maybe the book is for you too. I’ve read 5 or 6 baby sleep books, this is the best.

Bad, bad, bad. Its a massive choking risk to add anything to your baby's bottle. please don't do it. If your baby is old enough for weaning try some baby cereal before bed and if your baby is not old enough to wean then you shouldn't try to make them sleep for longer. I know new born nights are hell, my son would only sleep an hour at a time, but the reason babies sleep lightly and for short periods is a natural safeguard against SIDS. how old is the baby? my mom did that with all of us at around 3 or 4 months but not at bedtime, it was during the day, she said we got full faster and stayed full longer idk though,  i dont have any babies yet 😞
