Getting Induced

I had a doctors appointment this morning, I'm 36 weeks and my OB said he'll be scheduling me for an induction on the 27th (one week before my due date)..This is my third baby and because my children are so big he wants to take him a bit early. My daughter was 9lbs.6oz and my son was 9lbs.13oz. My son was induced 4 days before my due date and cracked my tailbone on his way out.  I had a very difficult time delivering him because of his size and the poor kid had broken blood vessels in his eyes and bruises on his face. I'm so worried this child is going to be just as big. I'm hoping to go into labor on my own. Anything help to naturally help move him along? I obviously don't want him born too early, but I'd love to have him come on his own before the induction. Any suggestions on safely getting your body and baby ready for delivery?
