I have been seeing a lot of people complaining that the company was in the wrong for firing him because he wasn’t at work during the incident, he was camping on holiday.  
Do you think the company was right or wrong to fire him?

He said he worked for the county... it’s his fault - it looks bad on the company. If he’s pissed about it, he should have kept his mouth shut about where he works 🤷🏼‍♀️ as it should be for anyone going out in their company logo and doing things illegal/unfavorable. You represent who you work for and if you publicly humiliate them, then you should be terminated.

No he deserves to be fired he was completely rude to that man and his family calling him such ugly names the man stayed calm and said he would move it but reason he had it their because of the power steer gave out.. and then Wyatt tells him I’ll move it but give me all the money you got like what the hell? And after they do he says I’ll get your shit out of here .. karma for you

He announced who he worked for; which could be seen as acting as a "spokesperson." If he never mentioned where he worked, then no. But he did, so yes.

He was placed on administrative leave so sounds like they were looking for a reason to get rid of them and this altercation gave it. 
He brought up who he worked for, so although he was on holiday. He was trying to bring in some professional influence. 
I’m no surprised he was fired.

If you're a public service employee, you are held to the highest standard of behaviour, even when you're not on the clock. That's just the way it is.

Yes! He should be fired.
He doesn’t work for a private company, he works for a county. There is probably a clause in his contract that would cover something like this. Most teachers do. Covers anything that would make the county look bad, like a morality clause.

If I go to a bar in a work shirt I can be fired. He shouldn’t have opened his mouth about where he works. Most companies have a fail safe where you are expected to represent company appropriately on and off the clock.
