Birth story a little late...

Woke up around 4;15 with mild contractions. The night before my two older sons had gone with my parents to spend the night but the two-year-old was having issues so they had brought him back around 10:30 PM. I didn't want to call my parents at four in the morning to come get him so we could go to the hospital so I just laid back in bed and tried to monitor the contractions until my son got up around 6:30 AM. At that point the contractions were hard to determine how far apart they were and some were painful and some were not, so I woke my husband up but I didn't really try to make him rush.  He took a shower and I called my parents to drive over.  They live about a half hour away so they got to our house around 8 AM and we left for the hospital. We got to the hospital around 8:30 AM and I went into the initial room where they check to see how far along you are and if you will be admitted and surprise surprise I was already 8 cm. they admitted me right away since my previous pregnancy had gone quickly as well and the doctor was called. Because I have low platelets they drew blood and had to wait to see if I could have an epidural or not.  I ended up getting the epidural at about 9 1/2 cm and they gave me a really low dose since I was already so dilated. My doctor did rounds while they were waiting for me to get to 10 cm so I could've started pushing earlier but we waited for the doctor to be done. When she got back I started pushing and after about 2 to 3 pushes she was out! No tearing or stitches everything went very smoothly.
