Hello everyone, okay so i will keep this short. Today in my daughters class, kids had to talk about people that they like and why?

It was supposed to be short and they were supposed to give only one reason. My daughter chose Margaret Thatcher, i have told her about her being the first British prime minister and she got all exited and said she wants to be one one day!

So we printed her picture and she showed it to the class and said something along the lines “i think she is great example for me, because she showed all the girls, that they can be anything they want”

Now the teacher gives me a call and says that she doesn’t think that it is appropriate because she is very controversial political figure and not the best example.

(Mind you, when the teacher send the memo to the parents about this project, it didn’t put limits on anyones choices)

My question is : what do you think about Margaret Thatcher? Do you think she is a good example for young girls?
