Dandruff or something else?

For the past two years I’ve had an itchy scalp and I used dandruff shampoo but it didn’t help. I’ve learned to manage it and my scalp isn’t as itchy anymore, only in certain spots. But I still have dry skin on my  on my scalp and I try to scratch them off but my scalp still remains looking like this. Is it dandruff? Or could it be something else?

Hypertrophic Dermatitis, maybe? I have it and it looks like this. My scalp becomes inflamed and scaly to the point when my hair falls out and growth becomes brittle during those times/at this spots of severe inflammation. A dermatologist can prescribe a shampoo and cream that helps, but it requires daily use (& I’m Black, so that wasn’t happening). Hope this helps. ❤️

Most probably psoriasis. You need to see skin specialist. It can be controlled but not cure.

Try a shampoo with less chemicals. My head is like this and I use more natural shampoos to help. Also my mom always tell me baking soda in the shampoo and rise with vinegar after you wash out the shampoo. it works for my sister.
