Is this normal

My bf and I got into a fight while sitting in the car. I slammed the door and left to go in my house and he came after me and grabbed me (pretty forcefully) .enough force to jolt me where I couldn’t physically go the other way..He pulled me in and hugged me while we were both still very angry. I’ve never felt him use force like that so I’m wondering if what he did is normal or should I be concerned? He’s never hurt me before but the force of it was really strong and kind of scary
