How early can I start taking prenatal pills or folic acid? I am 28 and we are contemplating having a kid in the next couple years, any suggestions ???

Lol we tried for 6 yrs so that’s how long I was on them then 22 months after I had my kids cause that’s how long I breast fed. Took a couple months off and started again for the one I’m currently pregnant with.

I was taking them for 10 months before successfully conceiving

You can take them before during and after pregnancy. I take them now (not pregnant) because my body lacks folic acid. So anytime really. I always say ask your doctor if you’re not sure about something just to be sure

You can start any time but my doctor said said long as you’re taking some kind of multivitamin you’re good. Take regular ones now then switch once you get pregnant
