Freaking out. Help please.

I'm about 7-8 dpo and today during my 15 minute break I went to the bathroom and noticed brown spotting. My period is NOT due until July 17th. Hubs and I have been ttc since December. I'm freaking out because I do not want my period and I'm hoping it's implantation bleeding instead. It started around 1pm that I had cramps, more painful then the last few days (still bareable) but then like I said I noticed the spotting.

Any help advice suggestions. Should i go to the doctor? Do I do a preg test???
