Work Pregnancy drama. UPDATE

Im so upset. I asked my boss if she perferred if i had dr appts in the AM or PM. She sakd "it dont matter" Earlier in May i made an ultrasound appointment for today. It was denied so I checked the schedule for a better time. Thinking it wasnt a big deal. The 13th (this coming wed) only one person was scheduled off(who doesnt even work with us directly) , so I went ahead and requested to come in late. I checked the calender and it just had one name for written down for who is off. I put this request in 2.5 weeks ago. Today at 500, right before i was about to go home, they nonchalantly told me it was denied. Apparently a new hire is off that hj day even though it wasnt on the calendar. Also i just found out, two people are off all week. Three people are off Thursday and Friday. How can a third person be off thursday and friday and I can not be a third perso

n off on Wednesday? This does not make sense. The days are not different, so its not like one is needed more depending on the day. im just so upset. I just want to know if our baby is healthy. Is it crazy to call in sick that day due to morning sickness? i have had morning sickness, and have still been going to work. I never have ONCE called in. I have sick time available. Also, I am 9 weeks pregnant.

UPDATE......I ended up calling in sick to go to the appointment mentioned above. I have yet to hear anything about it..... Also, I put in two appts a MONTH ago, and they just denied those too. I was again only requesting 1/2 days. I do not qualify for FMLA (i think..from what Ive read) because I havent been there a year yet.....My supervisor wants me to meet with her soon.
