what if the name you choose isnt 'the one"

What do you think of when you're choosing your child's name?
We are having a little girl, I am 21+3 weeks pregnant and we've actually had the name picked out for awhile now. since before we got pregnant.
Now, I'm thinking what if she doesn't LOOK like a Cécilia? should I have a list of 'what if" names?
how do you decide the name of a person who will one day contribute to society and live their own lives...?
it just feels like this big pressure to name someone.
the full name we've chosen so far is Cécilia Mary Debby Dwyer. here's a few pictures of our girl 😊😊

I love Cecelia but can I be 100% honest? Debby Dwyer sounds kind of like debbie downer. Maybe I am being ridicuous but I look at names and always try to pick out if there's something about it that could make them get picked on in middle school or whatever. Clearly Dwyer is your last name but maybe a different name than Debby? it's your baby though so just my opinion!

You can always change her name when she’s born if you don’t feel it fits. My parents called me Tamara when my mom was pregnant. When I was born they were like “nope” and named me Paige!

Cecilia Marie Dwyer sounds so pretty but adding Debbie & changing Marie to Mary makes it long & doesn’t flow as well imo

I personally don't think that a baby can look or not look like a specific name. But I suppose it can happen that it feels that way to you, that you feel the name simply doesn't fit. Maybe you should just cross that bridge when you get there. If she doesn't feel like a Cecilia, it's likely that you'll have a feeling about a name that you'll think suits her!

thank you for all the suggestions and comments!!! I'm definitely going to start a little list now of names we could name her alternatively if it doesn't feel like Cécilis suits her. I feel it will, but I get nervous sometimes about big decisions.

We only ever had one boy's name picked during our first pregnancy, and we just felt it was 'right'. This time round we've got two boy's names (as well as the two girl's names we didn't use last time). I think if you absolutely love one name then go for it! I don't think you need a backup name. If you already couldn't decide between two names, then by all means wait and see what baby looks like / what name suits him / her better
