Is my husband is cheating

So we have been together for 9 years 2 children but recently we had a really rough patch.. we were arguing all the time and just falling out constantly. He txt me Saturday night 4am saying ‘ come see me’ I was at my friends about 4 hours away so when I woke up I knew it wasn’t for me.. I questioned him about it however he said it was definitely for me. He said he was just meaning that he was home and to come see him to prove it as we were arguing.. he was on his phone all the Sunday when I got home said he didnt want to be with me he was unhappy and if it wasn’t for our kids we wouldn’t be together... he then went a walk the whole time he was on Whatsapp.. he never once spoke to me. When he got home I asked to see his phone he refused to give me it and said I needed to trust him. He apologised for the way he acted he regrets it etc. I just don’t know.. what would you think if it were you?
