Do you think it is wrong

Question

Is eating meat a sin?I was thinking early the morning, is eating meat a sin? Originally in the Garden of Eden all the creatures lived in harmony and then <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android.eve">Eve</a> messed up. Is the ability to eat meat part of that “fall” or is it a sin?

I personally do not believe it is, but was curious and wanted to discus it with others.

Remember Paul’s vision of the sheet coming down out of heaven filled with all kinds of animals and God told him to get up kill and eat. I do not think it is a sin to eat meat.

No. God made us omnivores so he designed us to eat plants and meat. Just like he designed all felines to be carnivores and horses to be herbivores. In the time of Adam and Eve they'd have had to eat meat to get a good protein source to survive. Nowadays vegetarians need to eat things like tofu in order to get animal proteins so that their bodies are able to function. So there is no way eating meat is a sin. God made us meat eaters.

God created animals for food! (: Jesus ate meat. All things are made clean if it is received in thanksgiving (prayer)

Consuming meat in large, unnecessary amounts - not ok

While in the garden, there is no record of man consuming meat;perhaps because the garden sustained all life. After the fall is when we see man consuming meat.  I have been a vegetarian for the past 14 years. My personal conviction: we are called to be stewards of the earth. To care for this planet and its creatures; we are failing at this. Until things change, I, personally, can not participate in how society treats the creatures we were called to care for. They are pumped full of hormones, tortured and live in inhumane conditions. Nothing about that says " Good steward"
