Club feet parents?

My son was born last month with club feet...  just curious how was recovery with your baby? When did they start getting treated did they do casts or surgery? If you got the casts how old was your baby and how did they react to the first casting? They plan to put casts on my son July 3rd he’ll be almost 8 weeks old then I’m not happy that they are waiting so late to start the process :/

My son also has billateral clubfeet.   Im only 27 weeks pregnant though so I have yet to go through the process.  It apparently runs in both my family and by husbands.  I was told he should be put in casts within two weeks because of the fact the bones are so soft etc.  My mom wore casts and so did her brother. It’s apparently NOT a big deal at all.  They rarely have issues after the initial treatment.  If your son has to have surgery, it’s not a big deal.  My mom is fine.  Her brother is 6 foot 4 and an orthopedic surgeon.  I have a client who is a neonatologist and while it’s an issue that must be addressed, he has stressed to me it’s very manageable, and they won’t even know it happened by the time they’re walking.

They may that long because the growth right now is sooo rapid that casting may not be a good idea? Just a guess
USually casting is used first to see if surgery is REQUIRED so it depends on how much shift there is. 
I dont have club foot. But cerebral palsy and they had to do castings to stretch my ankle / heel cord.
