if you had a LEEP procedure done, read!
Ladies, about 10 years ago I had a LEEP procedure done to remove precancerous cells due to HPV. My OB/GYN knew about it. During my delivery of my baby girl, I was induced due to high blood pressure. So, I started CYTOTEC at 7 pm on 6/6. Every 4 hours, I took another pill to help me soften my cervix. I did 6 rounds of this. meaning 24 hours! I had ZERO change to my cervix. I then got an epidural and started pitocin. That is when my baby's heart rate started to drop. At 6 am on 6/8 (1.5 days later!!!) I was told I was going to have a c-section. I had my baby girl at 6:39 am. After the surgery, my doctor talked to me and told me that my cervix was almost completely scar tissued over!! I completely forgot about that procedure until then. my doctor did, too. i don't blame my doctor at all. if you had a LEEP procedure done and are having trouble getting pregnant, look into getting your cervix checked for scar tissue. it took us 2 years to conceive and i think this is why. thanks!
