Short term disability while pregnant?
I’m 30 weeks pregnant and work rotating 12 hour shifts, days and nights. It’s not exactly physically demanding but it’s draining. My back aches terribly, my legs go numb a lot and I still have morning sickness. I can’t sleep ever because of the back issues.
I have a son and I worked these hours no problem when I was pregnant with him. I just cannot do the 12 hours anymore. My dr put me on restrictions to just work between 8-10 hours a day and that has helped a little. But now they are opening my case up because my short term disability provider doesn’t feel like I need to be on restrictions. I honestly am so exhausted and hate complaining but I cannot do 12 hours.
(I know many women do and probably do physically demanding jobs through delivery but I just can’t.)
Has this ever happened to anyone? I don’t know what to do. I’m sure my baby will be ok with me working my noway al scheduled but i just feel so drained, achy and nauseated every single day.
