We had a difficult miscarriage and my husband, son and I thought adoption would be a better route for us. We were all very excited and we started the home study and doing the classes. We even had picked a few kids and got thumbs up from our case worker

Then, my FIL (father-in-law) spoke with my husband telling him that he (my FIL) would NOT be able to love a child from adoption.

He lives in a different state and has only seen our son 3 times ever. I told my husband that my FIL's opinion didn't matter but as you could imagine, the lack of support from his dad brought him down. (My husband is an only child and his mother has passed).

I hate him :'(
