When did you start letting baby sleep in their own room? Feeling scared. 😔

Our little man in almost 2 months and we feel ready for the transition. He’s sleeping between 6-8 hours per night and has been since a month old. We have a nice video monitor abs swaddle him nightly. We’ve never had a scare with him sleeping in his pack and play next to our bed, but all of a sudden this momma is scared. 😔

my baby is 21 months and still in our room, mainly because our master is upstairs and her room is downstairs and she cant be trusted unsupervised 🤷‍♀️. I feel like it is a personal decision based on what works for you, your baby and your spouse not one "right" age.

We moved my son at 7 weeks and that’s where he’s been ever since. He’s almost two and a great sleeper who loves his room. It was nice having him in his own room because we didn’t have to worry about waking him because my husband and I normally sit in bed for an hour before we go to sleep to cuddle and catch up on things going on in each other’s days. It was nice to get that intimate time back.

My daughter is almost 11 months and we aren’t planning on moving her out of our room anytime soon. It’s recommended to wait until a year because of SIDS, but honestly me and my husband love having her in our room! Makes us both feel better and more relaxed.

My son has slept in his room since the day we brought him home from the hospital. His room is attached to ours so I keep the door open. We also have a monitor to hear him better. He has done well.

A year is recommended as your breathing helps regulate theirs and reduces the risk of SIDS. We moved our daughter to her crib at 6 months and it went great.

I'll move him at 6 mos. He is 4 mos now, but also started rolling onto his belly a couple weeks ago. The ped said he will be just fine, but I still get worried he will fall asleep with his face in the mattress. Now I watch him when he rolls to his belly & make sure his head is completely on his side before leaving the room (he usually goes down a few hours before I go to bed).

3 months because our LO stopped sleeping well in the pack n play. I had a very hard time. I wasn't ready but he would not sleep in the pack n play anymore kept waking up. We would sleep in the recliner together which worried me. There is a door that goes from our bedroom to his nursery so I left it open. I could actually see his crib and we have a video monitor. It's hard but you will make it through!

4 weeks 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ I have an Owlet monitor, a video monitor, and her room is right next to ours. I couldn’t take her being in our room anymore, she’s a noisy sleeper and I was waking up constantly for no reason. She sleeps better in her own room as well.
