Will anitbiotics stop my nexplanon from working?

I was prescribed nitrofurantn for my UTI and I don’t plan to have sex for the next few days. I was just wondering whether it can affect the nexplanon? Does anyone know?

For nexplanon only antibiotics for tb or to prevent meningitis will affect it. Oh could always call your doc to be sure but if they knew prior that you have the implant then they would've told you if the antibiotics affected it.

it can because antibiotics effect all hormonal birth control, besides the hormonal iuds. use condoms for a while at least a week

My doctor told me it doesn’t stop it from working.but it was a different type of antibiotics.
