IUD string??

Hi ladies. When you got your IUD, when was the first time you tried to feel for the string?? My doctor just told me I had to check for it once a month. Not sure if I should feel them today first?.. or wait until tomorrow or even next week?

I check mine randomly even though I can never feel mine because they are cut too short. I just feel for plastic to make sure it’s not coming out.

I felt mine about a week after insertion. I was still in some pain and I didn’t want it to hurt. I check mine at least every month. If there is an odd change in my body, I’ll check it randomly. Like the other day I had bad cramps at a time when I never have cramps, so I checked to make sure everything was in place.
