Blood work during pregnancy?

Do doctors draw blood a lot during pregnancy??? Just curious

I think I had it 3 or 4 times during this pregnancy

My dr doesn’t do 1st trimester blood work (unless necessary) so I only had it done so far towards the end of the 2nd trimester to find out my RH factor and then the glucose test over course. I’m 29wks and I haven’t had anything else done yet.

I’m 14 weeks and they took 4 viles of blood at 8 weeks, another 2 at 10 and then 2 at my first ultrasound for the combined test. Pretty sick of it already

I’ve had a lot since I’m high risk. Blood draws every month for my neurologist and more blood draws for my high risk doctor/OB🤦🏼‍♀️gotta love it

I’ve had quite a bit because I’m high risk. They’ve done like 10-11 of them including Panorama testing. I also get weekly shots called Makena. Everyone is different.

I have had my blood drawn at least six times and I’m only 5 weeks 6 days. I’m a bit older (36) so my Dr. wanted to make sure hcG levels were progressing at the correct rate. All is well. 😊

With my first: Once for blood type and rh factor, then the glucose test and a few finger pricks to test for iron. 
I’ve had to get more frequent checks this time because I have another health issue that needs monitoring

my doctor did blood work my first visit then 2 visits later another round of blood work bc my thyroid was high so she was monitoring it. it resolved so only 2 so far.
