Stretch Marks? How to prevent them??

Hi!! I am a first time mommy due on 3/18/16. I'm 33 DH 35. I am worried about stretch marks, does anyone know remedies, creams, oils ? I want to start early!!!! Cheers!!!!

There is absolutely no way to prevent them. You can spend a ton of money and rub yourself until you are butter, but if your Mom got stretch marks, you will probably will too. It's genetic. I tried to fight genetics with my first. I failed. Good luck

Also DO NOT scratch!!! Yes your belly will itch very badly but scratching it tears the skin and that's what a stretch mark is

With my first I tried EVERYTHING I possibly could, and nothing worked! It depends on the elasticity in your skin and how big you get, I was beyond HUGE! And I'm only tiny, but how I look at them are my tiger stripes from having my little cub :) would rathe have them and my baby then not have them and no baby!xx

IMO it all comes down to genetics. I used bio oil and coconut oil every day during my first pregnancy and ended up still getting them at the very last weeks. It's not the end of the world if you get them though; there's things to help them fade and look better like oils and dry brushing postpartum. Your body is doing amazing things growing a baby, let it earn its stripes if it needs to! ;)

My mom never had them, but I get them badly! And I have tried all the belly butters and oils thru my past three pregnancies. I give up! I'll use that stuff just for comfort (stretched out skin is itchy!) but not in the hopes of preventing stretch marks anymore. I think my dad's mom said she got them, so maybe it's genetics on that side. Good luck!

I found that bio oil worked for me! But I only put it on my stomach and ended up getting them everywhere else!

My sister recommended Mama Mio cream. I love the smell and my sister went through 2 pregnancies with Zero stretch marks! I started using it at 4 weeks and I intend to use it the whole way! Great for breast and tummy!

I used the stretch mark stuff just from the store, it has like Shea butter in it I don't exactly remember. But I just found out I'm expecting again and I plan on trying coconut oil to prevent new marks.

Vitamin e lotion and pills. I didn't get any with my first using them. Also no scratching!!!!!!
