I think he got a ring!?

my bf and I will be celebrating 1 yr together in a couple weeks. he's military so we've been long distance this whole time but we were friends before he left. very early in our relationship he started talking about marriage. it didn't freak me out because everything felt so right with him. I told him to wait and ask me at least a yr into the relationship. I didn't want to rush anything and he agreed. and now he called me saying he bought me something expensive and he doesn't know if he can hold it in. I told him whatever it is don't spoil it. but I really think he got me a ring and he'll ask me when I visit him on our anniversary! I've always wanted to be surprised when I'd get proposed to but he's really bad at surprises lol. what's your proposal story? was it a surprise or did you already know it was gonna happen. edit: ok false alarm. he didn't get me a ring. he gave me a really nice Pandora bracelet with my birth stones on it and a couple of charms. I really think it's for the best. he'll probably ask by the time he gets out of the army. so I'll still (hopefully) get a surprise proposal lol he just constantly talks about marriage, kids and our future so I guess that's what made me think it was gonna happen 🤷🏻‍♀️
