For my Wiccan and Pagan ladies out there. Is it wrong or is it okay for a spiritual woman to be on a birth control( IUD, the pill) since most believe it is a women's highest power?

It’s a great power, but it’s not like your ability to give birth is the most important thing about you. If you wanna use birth control of any kind, you do it. It’s that easy. And if someone’s giving you grief, they can go f**k themselves. I’m Wiccan (although possibly changing paths to a different form of paganism), and I’m getting the depo shot done this fall to a) get rid of my period, I hope; b) know how it affects me so I can know if I’m going to use it or switch back to the pill when my fiancé comes home because we can’t afford to have a baby right now.
So, yes. It’s completely fine and reasonable for a spiritual woman of any path to use birth control when she sees fit and she shouldn’t feel bad about it ever.

My mother has a similar idea about it, but it’s not because of a spiritual aspect. A lot of our family members specifically younger cousins were put on birth control at a young age. After they have been on it for 10-12 years they are having a hard time getting pregnant. Or even being able to ovulate. Her idea is it changes your body in ways we don’t yet understand. Medicine makes huge breakthroughs everyday and nobody really knows the long term affects of birth control. Don’t let somebody tell you what you can can’t do.

what do you mean it’s believed to be her highest power? is that a wiccan thing? not sure where that ever comes up in paganism as a whole?

Thanks guys. I'm in a coven. In which they believe it's wrong to be on something that stops ur bodies natural cycles. And I have an IUD and haven't gotten a period since I got it. So I wanted others opinions. In this coven they believe ur highs magic comes from being able to have children. I think I may step away from this coven
