Yes. My campus has dogs on campus all the time. 😍 
But when it comes to them living in the dorms, you can only have them if they’re a service animal/emotional support animal. Same with cats.

Unless it’s a service dog there is almost a guaranteed no, a lot of the time the dorm atmosphere would be unfair on the dog as much as anything else. It would be lovely to have your puppy to cuddle while away at College but it’s just not going to be a possibility with almost all colleges!

Most won't allow any dogs unless they are actual service dogs, because they are medically necessary. 
SOME colleges will allow emotional support animals but not all will.
