“3 dogs attacked boy after entering their yard”

Megan

Saw a story on Facebook about an 8 year old boy who accidentally tossed his ball over the fence and into his neighbors yard. The story referred to the dogs as “a pack of three pit bulls”. When the boy jumped the fence, the dogs attacked him. Scratched him up pretty good and the mom ran out to “throw” her son over the fence to save him.

The mom is now upset that the dogs aren’t getting in trouble. That they should be punished and she’s mad that they are being “let off the hook” for the attack.

The mom said the neighbors had given him permission to enter the yard previously, but a family member of the dog owners said they never gave anyone permission to enter their yard, ever. They showed the dogs on the news, acting very calm and just looking like normal dogs. But the police officer said its dangerous for dogs to be in packs of three because they take on the “pack mentality”.

I’m not sure if there is any action being taken against the dogs. But do you think it was the boys fault for entering a fenced yard that he had (seemingly) never been invited into, or the dogs fault?
