It’s so much more stressful when my husband is home

Is it just me?! I have 2 yo twins, so I’m not gonna say it’s not stressful day to day with them. But on the weekends (and this week - he has the entire week off 😵) it’s so much more stressful when he is home!

Like it takes an hour+ longer than usual to get out of the house to do anything, the house is 10x messier when he’s home than when he’s at work, and the twins idolize him because he’s the fun one and I have to do anything that remotely requires any responsibility so I seem boring.

Ex: I asked him to fill the bath for them tonight and he did. But he didn’t take the initiative to clean out the mud that was caked on to the bottom of it from earlier today. It was a murky, brown bath that he was going to put our twins into for bath time. I had to drain the whole thing, clean the tub, and refill it. It would’ve been so much quicker if I just did it all from the beginning rather than having to drain it and yadda yadda. That’s why I just end up doing everything and not asking him to help. So anyway, I was annoyed about it while he was playing with the twins and they were saying “mommy feels angry” while he looked like the fun parent and I looked like the frustrated bad parent.
