Ugh WHY is it even Meth addicts easily get pregnant?!!

Question

Have to vent. Been struggling with infertility  for years, multiple rounds of IVF. Im in perfect health, take vitamins, supplements, teach Yoga & meditation. I run. Ive gotten every blood test, Hysteroscopy, ultrasound you can imagine and specialists find zero problems with either me or my husband!
Then every friend I know gets pregnant 1-3 times, within the first 2 months they try. I come here and read many stories about alcoholics, smokers, obese women, and even Meth users getting pregnant ACCIDENTALLY. WTH? 
Maybe I should just start smoking crack and I can get pregnant. What kind of cruel joke is this? Im a good person and pray to the universe/god/higher power.... Anyone else feel me?

I totally feel your pain, but I don’t think it’s fair to lump obesity in with the rest. Some women are overweight due to medical conditions despite doing their best to care for their body. 
I’m 100% biased because I have PCOS and an insulin resistance, and I am overweight despite eating healthy and exercising. But it is still jarring to see a medical condition lumped in with drug addiction, etc. that does start off as a choice and can actually make someone an unfit parent. 
Again though, I truly feel for you. I know a lot of women who have gotten pregnant by accident or easily and really aren’t the best parents, and some who didn’t want to be.

Totally feel you. I take care of overdoses and alcoholics in my IcU. They have all these kids and I’m like, I don’t do drugs. I rarely drink. Why can’t we get pregnant? The other night my husband and i walked out of the movie theatre and saw this 30+ weeks pregnant girl smoking a cigarette. I’m like wtf? I cried all the way home. It just doesn’t seem fair.

I can only imagine the struggle this is!! I'm sorry for all you're going through! It does seem like a very cruel joke! Wish I had advice or answers, but know that God sees you, even when it feels like He doesn't!!!

I can not understand it either. I’ve lost four children (miscarriage/ stillborn) and all these alcoholics and drug users are popping them out like Oprah handed out gifts. However, I’m starting to understand that use who are infertile make great adoptive parents. All those children who get taken from their drug using and alcoholism parents end up somewhere. Why not love them and give them the lives they deserve?

I agree with you 100% any body that takes drugs and is pregnant is utterly desgusting and shouldn’t have children end of!! I don’t understand this either but we are all different and sadly those type of people fall easily! Doesn’t make it right though good luck with your journey I hope you get there some how Xx

I'm so sorry your going through that. I'm 15 months TTC 2 and offically getting testing done. I feel the same way as you. People who don't want to get pregnant, get pregnant. Druggies, drunks. ect. I love when people tell me that my husband's occasional drinks might be our issue, when I know someone who was doing drugs and drinking, along with her husband and got pregnant when they didn't want to be. It's so damn frustrating.
