Boyfriend doesn’t want children...

So I’ve been dating my boyfriend for about a year. He already has two children from a previous marriage. Before we even started dating, he told me he wouldn’t mind having another child. We even tried conceiving for a few months. Then things with his ex made him stressed out that he decided he no longer wants kids. What do I do? I love him and his children but I also want one of my own.
