My gf and I have an 8 month old daughter that we love and care for a lot. Recently, her mom has brought up baptizing our daughter. This is not the first time she's brought this up, and it's really pissing us off. We've told her several times that we don't plan on baptizing her, and want her to decide on her own (if Catholicism is something she wants to pursue). Today, my gf told me that her cousin offered to Baptize her and if we've thought about it. My gf told her no, and started walking away. Her mom decides to through in a few more words and says, "We need to do it before she turns 1". I was this close to telling her myself, but my gf stopped me. She did not want me to make things worse. Are we wrong, for letting our daughter decide what she wants to do when she gets older? What upsets us, we've told her many times and does not seem to get through to her. What do you guys think?

P.S. We are both Catholic, have all our sacraments ,but we don't follow that religion like others.
