birth control method?

Okay so my mother and I have been talking recently about birth control, we think it's a good idea to get it because it's supposed to help with cramps, im not really sure what type I would like to use or which is the safest and easiest, im really bad at Remembering so the pill format doesnt seem like a good idea but the stuff that they put up your coochie doesnt sound fun either I've really been thinking towards the one that goes under the skin of you rm but why if it breaks?! im kinda scared I don't know, please give me your opinions on what I should do?
