My mother in law is currently taking care of her mother in law.

They just found out she has shingles and is in the hospital. My MIL is desperate to see our son, and she’s been begging me to bring him around this week but I am not taking the chance!

She’s supposed to have her MIL with her until the end of the month. How long would you stay away?

To clarify since it’s worded strangely: great-grandma is the one with shingles. My son is a little over a year old.
