CANCER sucks

not sure if I should be posting this here or not but I could really use some advice and you ladies have helped in the past. my best friends father passed this morning of pancreatic cancer. he had been feeling sick for about a month and finally was in so much pain he went to the ER. they saw his gallbladder was inflamed and did further testing and found a mass on his pancreas. by the time they got a plan in place for treatment they saw it had metastasized to his lungs. it was literally 2 months ago he started feeling sick. it just happened so quick. i really thought she would have more time with him. i feel so bad for her, i don't even know what to do bc just like me she's a daddy's girl and i don't even know how she's dealing with it right now. my question is, I've never really dealt with loss like this before and i have NO idea how to comfort her and be there for her. i don't know what to say except "I'm so sorry". I want to be there for her so bad, can anyone give advice on how I can show her how much I care about her loss and what she's going through?
