Pain during sex

So yesterday I seen my long distant boyfriend and we had sex for the first time in a month. Yesterday we had some long rough sex and I woke up very very sore. I got my period on the morning and I usually use cups but u couldn’t even insert it. I know it’s not an std because I got tested a week ago and actually got my results yesterday as well and everything is fine. Any tips to help with the discomfort or has this happened to anyone else ? We tried having sex in the morning but that wasn’t even an option 😂
