Am I just being hormonal? Brother & baby shower

Okay so my baby shower is coming up, it’s co-ed, a bbq and at a nice reserved family reunion park. So my brother TAKES off of work for everything. Calls out for girlfriends, his dates, goes to Disney, told his boss I had a gender reveal party he needed to go to but I never had one. He lies and calls off. He takes off for every family member and their events. Me and my brother have a good relationship. Anyways my mom told me my brother had to work on the day of my baby shower (didn’t tell me when it is) and that when he gets off it will most likely be over. I am kinda upset because welllll he takes off for everything else. My mom doesn’t teach him respect or to teach to respect his family and he sits there and always complains to all his family members and friends how nobody invites him anywhere or loves him. I have shown that boy so much love. Especially when my Mom would be nasty to him . I honestly feel like telling him to not even try to show up and how

Upset I am at him for not requesting the day off. He doesn’t have bills besides his phone and he has no responsibilities besides his phone bill. So it’s not like he has to work for all his bills. My mom said just let him come but honestly I don’t want him there I’m so upset with his behavior. He’s 21 and still hasn’t finished high school so we are dealing with a manchild here. I know I should be understanding but I’m so upset. Even his best friend is coming. There’s no reason for him not to show up. It’s gonna be Co Ed and there are things for the guys to do and girls. There’s gonna be alcohol too and ect. I guess I’m just venting but anyone whose gonna sit here and say baby showers are for women and blah blah blah please don’t comment because you’re useless. Open mind and have co Ed showers. But either way the principal is that he takes off for all other things and events but not my event regardless what it is.
