Would you stay with your significant other/spouse if they transitioned to the opposite sex?

Not sure if this topic is too deep for this group 🤷🏾‍♀️ but I just watched a video with Megan Kelly interviewing a couple like that and the woman stayed but she’s heartbroken because they built a family together and were the “perfect couple.”

Honestly, I totally would bc my current boyfriend is trans, but I wouldn’t hold it against someone if they didn’t. If you were dating a man, because you’re solely attracted to masculinity and masculine features, and they wanted to transition to female, it isn’t you being shitty if that’s just not what you’re into. Do what’s best for you, don’t feel like you have to stay with someone solely bc it’s a heavy situation, BUT you should still love them and be supportive even if you don’t continue a relationship!!

Maybe unpopular opinion but no. I married or was with a man and have no desire to be with a woman. I would still love them and be there for them but could not be in a romantic relationship with him anymore. God forbid I had children, how would I tell them that their dad is now a female?? And it has nothing to do with personality or not loving them, but that’s not what I’m attracted to or what I signed up for

I ... don't really get the struggle here. They are THE SAME PERSON just visually different. They tell the same jokes, you still share the same memories. Its not like they are a different person. 
They may dress different, they may use a different name, they may change their body. But in essence, they are still THEM. 
I just don't understand why it would be hard to still love them.

i would do my best. however i know that people can change a lot when they finally accept their identity and the person you thought they were and a lot of their qualities mightve been a construct. it all depends on how much changes

I'm not a lesbian/bi and if my spouse wants to transition to a woman, well, I'm not into women. I don't find an appeal to romance a pair of breasts and or a vagina nor am do I find an attraction to femininity. Yes, I will respect and still love this person. Of course! But no, I will not just snap my fingers and change my sexual preference.
