Rape, abortion & pregnancy.

A few weeks ago my best friend had non consensual sex. She took the morning after pill the next day. Today she found out she is pregnant so clearly the morning after pill didn’t work. She doesn’t really agree with termination but there is no way she could keep it as she’s just not in a position too. Obviously the father won’t be involved, she still lives with her parents, her mentality is not ready to raise a baby & other various reasons. She’s in two minds and knows that this will forever be with her. I fully support whatever decision she makes regarding her baby but it’s looking like she’ll be going down the termination route.

I’m currently ttc and I think I may be pregnant, if not now hopefully very soon. I feel SO bad. What if I’m pregnant? Our dates will be exactly the same give or take a week. We was going to announce the next pregnancy early bc I had a miscarriage and want all hands on deck with baby sitters and stuff if sadly we needed emergency care again. We wanted everyone to be prepared for that and in the know. We’re best friends and she was always going to be included in the announcement. However when we would be announcing it, it would be around the time she’s going for her termination appointment and I just feel like that’s a smack in the face for her.

Then I think as she sees my growing bump she’ll be thinking about how her bump is not growing, be reminded of her ordeal & the decision she had to make because of that. When my baby is born, same. When my baby has a birthday or takes his/her first steps. It will always be with her anyway but seeing me/my child will be rubbing it in her face.

What would you do? Please give me some advice.
