Should I test on my birthday??

My birthday is this Friday on the 13th, and my period is supposed to start 5 days later. I know you’re supposed to wait until the day you miss your period, but I’m really anxious! I spotted around ovulation and that’s never happened before. Unless it was early implantation spotting and I got my ovulation mixed up because I forgot to check this month. We’ve been ttc for two years and I really hope it happens this month, and it’d be even more amazing if I got my positive on my birthday. I know it’s still a good chance of it coming out negative, but what do you guys think??
