Cervix check?

Do midwife usually check your cervix or is it just Ob's? I'm 36 weeks and my midwife has not checked. She also has kept my appointments at every 2 weeks.

With my midwife, she said she wasn't going to check me unless I asked. The risk is introducing bacteria by being checked. But if it's stressing you out, just ask. She probably won't tell you no if it's bothering you. If she doesn't feel like it would be good, she'll (hopefully) explain her reasoning.

Oh, and mine is seeing me at 32, 36, 38, 39, 40 and 41 if necessary. So it's not too unusual to be seen only every two weeks

My last apt (36W) I didn’t get checked but went to weekly appt.

mine will check mine tomorrow and I'll be 35w6d and I went weekly at 33w6d

I had an OB with my first and they didn’t check until I asked at 36 weeks. They didn’t again until I was in labor. There’s no reason for the checks anyway

My apts went to 1 a week at 34w and I have had twice weekly testing since 32w and got first check at 35w
