How many guys did it take ?

I’ve had two serious relationships, the first one was just me in it .. the guy didn’t really care about me and the second one we were both in it but I don’t think he was very serious about me considering marriage was never a topic of conversation unless I brought it up and we were together for 2 almost 3 years in feb... I’m 23, I know people say you’re young and enjoy your life now..I get tired of even thinking about starting over with a new guy for it to be over if it’s not right.. i do want someone to be with at times.. I am Christian and I was wondering..how many guys did it take you to get to the right one? Anyone?

Three. Although my 2nd one I was quite certain was "the one.." We were married for 10 years, together for 13+. It just wasn't meant to be... we grew up and weren't the same people. Now, three years after my divorce, I'm with the man of my dreams. Life happens, ya just gotta roll with it.

Serious relationships? I guess three, but I’ve had 7 boyfriends, #7 being my husband. It sucks to start over, but wouldn’t you rather start over than be unhappy? Find out what his goals are at the start of dating. If they don’t line up, move on before you get attached.

I was with my first husband for 5 years before he finally agreed to marry me. I never believed in divorce. I wanted a family asap more than I wanted to be with a man that would treat me like I deserve to be treated. 
Well, we divorced, I initiated it. He threatened me with physical violence in order to get me to comply with something again my morals and blamed me for angering him to that point. I chose between my physical safety and the life I worked to build for so long... I was DEVASTATED. And out of college so it was even HARDER to find more qualified bachelors. (My first husband never went to college but I dated him from 18 to 23, he was 22-27)
If he is not right. Do not give him another minute of your time. Trust in HIS plan to know he wants a better fit for you. 
Once I let go and LET GOD. God's true pick for me came into my life and swept me off my feet. We are now on our second child, financially stable, mutually respectful of each other, we are raising our children in the faith. It feels really good.

2. I met my ex husband when I was 17. I got pregnant and we got married after I turned 18. Divorced him 7 years later. Met my now husband about a year later (I was 26). We dated for a little over a year and I moved myself and my son in with him. We got married, and have been going strong for a total of 8 years now.

A few short-term boyfriends (few months, no contact now), 2 longer where they were abusive and it was hard to get away (one is my son’s father), 1 long-term who passed away, and 2 that ended up turning into just friendships (still- 13 years and 4 years later). When I was your age I’d had 2 serious relationships (in college and just after) and then I dated one guy just for a summer and everything about that “relationship” was wrong for me. So following that I decided to take time for me, not date at all, and just enjoy MY life. I really enjoyed this time and didn’t miss dating at all until a year had passed and I met the man who is now my husband.

I would say 3 for me. I had dated a few guys in public school and high school, but my first long term relationship was in university. 
They say that you go through 3 lives in your life. The first you want to work so badly but it’s just not right. The second is hard, heartbreaking and unhealthy, but teaches you what you don’t want. The third love makes everything make sense and is truly what you want. Your perfect match. 
The above was true for me, but some people are lucky enough to find their true love young and some people never find it and settle. 
You’re still young! Take time to figure out what you want, what you like and don’t like. It’s definitely cliche...but when you know, you know! Don’t rush into anything because you like the idea of marriage. I wish I met my man sooner, but we don’t get to choose when we meet the one

If youre going by serious relationships. . . I would say I was lucky and it took 1. I had a serious relationship in highschool, then after right before I left for bootcamp, I realized he was a child and ended things when it got abusive. After bootcamp I had one relationship I was in 100% but that wasnt reciprocated, thats how I found out I was pregnant. When I told him, about two weeks later he admitted to cheating, thats when I cut things off. After that last awful relationship I met the man of my dreams. Hes 2 years older than me and has been family oriented from the start. Never once did I lie to him, I told him from the start I was pregnant and we just wanted to see how things would go. After  3 or 4 months and a vacation together I asked him if he would be her father because she will still need one. Im so thankful that he said he was hoping shed be able to call him Dad, especially seeing as she didn't have one that wants to be involved. I may only be 19, but we plan on him adopting her, and getting married in the future. 
Out of all honesty I think it takes a few hard heartbreaks before you can finally find the right guy, but finding the RIGHT one makes it all worth while.
