So my boyfriend has left to the army. It's been about a week since I last heard from him. The first couple of days were very hard. I would even cry whenever I would see his messages or pictures. I'm finally getting used to the idea that I won't be able to talk to him as often, but it's just really hard. He's going to be gone for a whole year and won't be able to use his phone. Is anyone experiencing anything similar to this, and how have you learned to cope with his departure? Any advice? We've been dating for about 8 months and I can honestly say that I'm in love with him. I turned 18 in May and he'll be 18 in October. I know we're young and maybe too soon to say but I think our love is real and true. I would really appreciate some feed back from people who have experienced or are currently in a relationship with someone in the military. How do you guys make your relationship work? Etc.
