Car dream

Last night when I was dozing off, I had a dream that I was in a car in a random driveway. I put it in reverse and started driving backwards, but when I tried to put it back into drive, the breaks wouldn’t work and it wouldn’t shift back to drive. I started panicking and crying in my dream because I didn’t know what else to do except swerve and try to miss stuff, but I couldn’t go too far because at the end of the road was a cutoff straight into a lake. I woke up before I hit the cutoff. What could this mean?
