Throwing yourself a shower?

We recently PCSD and I have no one here to throw one for me! I’m reading about how tacky it is and wrong but I’ve never been told that before. It’s coed and more of a party than a shower but still don’t want to look bad.

I threw my own shower. It was coed as well. I have friends but few are that close that I could rely on to do so plus, my mom was getting a divorce at the time. So I could only count on myself.

Exactly you never been told that because it's not tacky or wrong maybe in 1960 and 70 but its 2018 throw your shower or barbecues or party and just have fun and celebrate your life and your family and the new baby.

I basically threw myself a shower. The invitation had my moms name as host but I did all the planning and paid for everything. She just made a few cupcakes and helped set up, everything else was done by me.🤷🏻‍♀️

Lmao - I threw my first baby shower.  Two friends are throwing one for my second shower. 🤷‍♀️. I thought I would only have one baby (he was an IVF baby), so I was more than willing to throw my own.

We threw our own co-ed baby shower because I didn’t want to give anyone else the task. My family live 1.5hrs away from where we live so it didn’t make sense.
We didn’t have a registry because we were happy with what ever ppl bought us, we just anted to hang out with everyone.

I helped throw my shower, I planned it and picked out everything but my mom & grandma hosted it and pretended like they threw it for me lol

We PCSD when I was 5 months, my husbands unit threw us a shower when I was 7 months. usually FRG will plan one if his superiors know you're pregnant!
