Tampons?

I had my 3 week PP appt on Monday. Dr cleared me for everything. But didn’t do an internal since my recovery has been easy. I’ve had minimal bleeding and it pretty much stopped last week. Now I’m bleeding again, and wondering if I can use tampons? I’m all out of pads but can have my husband pick them up when he goes out...but would rather use tampons if I can.

Anything in the vagina before 6 weeks PP, still makes you subject to infection, due to the uterus having an ‘open sore’ where your placenta was torn off. It’s not the vagina ITSELF, but the possible transfer of bacteria into the open wound. I would use pads, panty liners, or even a newborn diaper until you can get to the store. By your first period (AFTER 6 weeks PP), you can use tampons.

At 3 weeks PP, I couldn't even entertain the thought of having anything enter my vagina 😵 Probably still best to wait until 6 weeks

😬 I hardly tore and had a quick recovery and I wouldn't that soon....oww, makes me cringe just thinking about it

I honestly still wouldn’t just in case. If it’s light enough you can use a thinner pad. I like these, they absorb a LOT but they’re so thin I forget they are there
