Zoloft and pregnancy?

What are your thoughts on having to take zoloft during pregnancy?

I’m taking it. I was on a different medication but switched once I found out I was pregnant. My doctors said it was a much safer medication. Yes, your baby does get a small amount of it, but I’ll be weaning my baby off slowly with breast feeding after he’s born. 
I have a long history of depression and anxiety, I want to be level headed throughout my pregnancy and after. 
Others say not to be on anything, but I think it can cause more harm not taking care of yourself.

I'm taking it throughout my pregnancy and while breastfeeding. No SSRIs are 100% during pregnancy, inclusing sertraline/Zoloft, but it is one of the safest. I have OCD and AnxNOS, and there's no way I would want to go through pregnancy without medication considering I can't function properly day to day without it while not pregnant.

I’m on it, also. I have never been on an SSRI and went on Zoloft 10 weeks into my pregnancy. I wasn’t planning on it but my anxiety and OCD shot through the roof and it was a necessity. My OB also says it is the safest.

Zoloft and risperidone were the only medications they kept me on once i got pregnant. They said zoloft was completely safe for pregnancy and that the risperidone is safe but its still not proven 100% like it is with zoloft. So im just taking the zoloft and everything has gone well!!

I was prescribed it, I was on other meds that weren’t safe so my ob prescribed Zoloft for one of them. I didn’t end up taking it though because Zoloft just doesn’t work for me, I had tried it in the past and it did nothing, but every med affects everyone differently.

If you need it and you’ve thoroughly weighed the pros and cons with your OB, do what you need to do to get by

That’s what I’m taking right now. I specifically told my doctor before I started taking it that I wanted to be on something that was safe while pregnant (Hubs and I were talking about trying) and that’s what he recommended I try. He said it was safe.
