Open OS at 9 weeks

Hi everybody.I dont usually post but i find myself in a worrisome state today.I am 9w today and was fine uptil an hour back when i started dripping fresh red blood.i went for a scan and it shows the baby is healthy with a good heartrate,there is no heamatoma or heamorraging,but my OS which is the uterus opening i guess is 2.3mm open.The doc has put me on strict bed rest for a week with daily dosage of progesterone and a weekly HCG shot.i go back for a scan in a week.My question is has anybody gone through something similar and how has bed rest helped them?i have
